Partners and Teams Make Successful Journeys

Each year Project COPE serves an average of 20 newly released ex-offenders.  Each Partner and his or her team share their own unique journey of hope through support and hard work.  Here are some brief stories of Partners and their teams finding success in their journeys.

A Star Graduate:  Andre Cooper

While incarcerated for 24 years, Andre imagined his life on the outside and created a plan; he intended to find a job and go to school.  He even secured a Pell Grant prior to his release from prison.  Steve Nystrom, a member of Andre’s Ladue Chapel team, says about Andre’s determination and goals, “He was prepared when he came out of prison.  He had a plan and stuck with it.  Andre is now attending Forest Park Community College and working at an area warehouse!”
