More than 56 percent of ex-offenders in Missouri return to prison within three years. 
As our crowded prisons release a growing number of offenders each year, there is a big cost 
to our community in terms of additional crime, social fallout from broken families and additional
incarceration.  We assist released prisoners in meeting their own goals of reintegrating into 
society by gaining meaningful work, rebuilding family relationships, making new friends and 
growing in compassionate self-knowledge.  

Today Project COPE is one of the St. Louis area’s most successful programs for men and women 
seeking to rebuild their lives after release from prison.  More than 280 ex-offenders are now 
living successfully in the St. Louis area thanks to our program and their committment.
